What You Need to Know

From editing videos, to creating content, Austin Shapiro, 20 years old, has gained valuable skills within the media industry through his involvement in both his college career and internships.

Recently, Austin interned with Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), closely working with the International Department. From communicating with foreign performing rights societies, assisting with audio visual research, and writing weekly updates on the music industry, Austin's passion and creativity has allowed him to take his skills to the next level.

While Austin may be found behind his computer editing videos, you can also catch him on his Radio Station he directs for his college. Through his personality and charisma, Austin has been in charge of the program as well as managing celebrity guests who come on the show and assisting in production.

Austin currently attends High Point University, majoring in Communication, concentrating in Electronic Media Production, and a minor in Business Administration. He is eager to learn more about the media industry through networking and internships.
